YOUR OWN KANJI ART

Choose your kanji

Kanji are Japanese characters with meanings of their own. Choose from six options, then bring your character to life with a brush on postcard-size Echizen washi.

和 — Harmony
心 — Heart & mind
月 — Moon
光 — Light
山 — Mountain
花 — Flower

Take home one finished artwork with a red seal, a meaning card, and a protective sleeve. Postcard size: about 10 × 15 cm.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED

How the
workshop works

Your host explains the steps in English and helps as you practise. You do not need to read Japanese or bring any equipment.

1. Choose a kanji and learn its meaning.
2. Practise the strokes with your host.
3. Write on washi and choose your favourite piece.
4. Add a red seal and take your artwork home.

This is a shared workshop with up to 8 guests. Other travellers may join your session. All materials are included in the ¥4,500 price.
